The day began with a brisk walk and a trip to revolutionary France (we saw Les Miserables at the local cinema). This evening I spoke with my brother, we journeyed to Madrid via Skype and enjoyed paella with a glass of Rioja.
Simple. Bliss.

Yummy! Being about an hour from the border to Spain, there are quite a number of Spanish among us, many since they were run out by Franco. When you have Paella here, it is as authentic as it gets and I am fortunate to have a few friends who are masters of this dish! Paella had me at hello! Bon appétit!

Leamuse, the paella was delicious! Lucky you, to live close to the border of Spain. It must be an interesting area, with a mix of cultures and cuisines. Happy Holidays!
